SPOILER ALERT - not all the details but a couple, so be warned

The book started with several disadvantages for making me like it. The first was that none of the previous series characters are main characters in this book. That TOTALLY caught me off guard. Mind you, some do show up but not the ones feautured in book 2 rather the ones from book 1, which again wasn't expected.

Couple that with the fact that one of the two parallel story lines contained a character (Serafina) who I mostly wanted to shake, smack, or give a solid spanking to for pretty much the first half the book... let's just say at the halfway point I didn't think there was any way they'd turn the book around for me no matter how much I WAS enjoying the other storyline!

However much to my amazement, the second half of the book really drew me in. Falconer (whose storyline I'd loved from the beginning) only continued to get stronger and the plot sweeter. So in the end, I find the book a 4 star, and I am very much looking forward to book 4 which apparently actually does pick right up where book 3 leaves off (much to my delight!).

Well researched and written. Please add to this series Davis. Wonderful story.
What a beautifully written book by T. Davis Bunn. This is one of the secqual boos of atha Song Of Acadia series
The series has gone downhill from an American girl and British officer campaign against slavery to a privateer and Italian girl who have a troubled relationship.The primary focus is on the relationship between the Italian girl and privilege rather than American girl and British officer. Disappointing.
It wasn't as good as the original series! It would have been nice if the had developed the characters from the previous series more. Favorites were just written out as deceased. These characters didn't connect as the original Acadia series. It was ok, but also disappointing.
The processing of deep personal feelings by the main characters.
This book was supposed to be in large print, but it wasn't. My aunt was unable to read it.
This is a great read of restoration, protection and provision found in the Lord. Only God can do things that are so personal to the persons needs and deliver as well. I would recommend to anyone to read all 4 of the books in this series. Just when you can wait to see how it ends you find you can't wait to start the next. A must read
